Barry Posner

Co-author, The Leadership Challenge
Barry Posner is Accolti Professor of Leadership and former Dean (1997-2009) of the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. Kouzes and Posner are the authors of The Leadership Challenge, Credibility, The Truth About Leadership, A Leader's Legacy, Encouraging the Heart, and The Student Leadership Challenge, among many other works. They also developed the high-acclaimed LPI®:Leadership Practices Inventory®.

Garry Ridge

President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
As chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of WD-40 Company, Garry Ridge is responsible for developing and implementing high-level strategies, all operations, and the oversight of all relationships and partnerships for the company.

Garry is passionate about the learning and empowering organizational culture he has helped establish at the WD-40 Company, and his vision and leadership have positively impacted the WD-40 Company in both measurable and immeasurable ways.

Garry joined WD-40 Company in 1987 and has held various management positions in the company, including executive vice president and chief operating officer, and vice president of international. He has worked directly with WD-40 Company in over 50 countries. In 1997, he was appointed president and chief executive officer of WD-40 Company.

A native of Australia, Garry served in advisory roles for the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association. Currently, he serves as a member of the board of governors of The San Diego Foundation, and the advisory boards of TrendSource Inc. and the University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration.

Garry is an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego where he teaches leadership development, talent management and succession planning in the Master of Science in Executive Leadership program. In 2009, he co-authored a book with Ken Blanchard outlining his effective leadership techniques, titled “Helping People Win at Work: A Business Philosophy called ‘Don’t Mark My Paper, Help Me Get an A.’ ”

Garry holds a diploma in retail and wholesale distribution from Sydney Technical College and a Master of Science in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego.

Amy Savage

Amy Savage has worked with The Leadership Challenge material since 2000, and is a Certified Master-in-Training of The Leadership Challenge®, as well as President of Fine Points Leadership Development. As a LPI® : Leadership Practices Inventory® coach and a Leadership Challenge facilitator, she helps individuals, teams and organizations connect deeply to the 30 Behaviors, resulting in leadership transformation. 

Jody Rogers

Jody R. Rogers, PhD, FACHE is a Professor in the Graduate Program in Health Administration at Trinity University and a Program Manager responsible for teaching executive skills to healthcare professionals. He has been a Certified Master since 2010, faculty member with the American College of Healthcare Executives and speaks nationally on the importance of leadership within the healthcare industry.

Dan Schwab

Leadership Coach, Integris Performance Advisors
Dan Schwab, a Certified Master of The Leadership Challenge, began working with authors Kouzes and Posner in the early days of The Leadership Challenge Workshop.  An accomplished leadership trainer and coach, Dan has led organizational improvement efforts with myriad clients from the corporate and non- profit sectors over the past 20 years.

Steve is the Vice President of Kaneka Americas Holding and President of The Kaneka Foundation. He's also a Certified Master within The Leadership Challenge Community working globally to advance organizational performance through leadership development and executive coaching for Kaneka Corporation and others in both the for profit and non-profit worlds.

Valarie Willis

Valarie is an accomplished speaker, facilitator, consultant, and executive coach, focused in the area of leadership development, team building, innovation, customer experience, and change. Valarie has served as a panelist and moderator and serves on non-profit boards. She is a Certified Master for The Leadership Challenge.

Valarie has worked with companies in many industries including health care, pharmaceutical, education, construction, government, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, technology, non-profit and finance. Her mission is to guide and provoke organizations to optimize business results through leadership development.   

Valarie holds a MBA from Xavier University and a B.A. from Wilmington College. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and the International Speakers Network. Emilie Perkins

Emilie has over 19 years of experience in event planning, and fundraising in the non-profit sector, and marketing and design in the for-profit arena. She joined LeadingAge Indiana in December 2001 as the Director of Training and coordinates all professional development training, conferences, trade shows, and seminars; and was promoted to Vice President of Training in 2015. She also is an Associate Faculty member at Indiana University Indianapolis where she co-teaches Non Profit Meeting Management for the Department of Tourism, Conventions and Event Management.

Kelly Ann McKnight

Kelly Ann McKnight is a Certified Master of The Leadership Challenge® and an Executive Coach from Ontario, Canada. She focuses on assessing the needs of clients and designing programs to develop appropriate skills and abilities. Amanda is a Managing Vice President in Marketing Operations within Capital One’s Card Division where her team works to deliver products and features that customers love. Deana Raffo serves as Associate Professor of Management in the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Rhonda Caldwell, CAE, is the deputy director of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators in Frankfort, Kentucky. Caldwell co-authored her first book, “A Guide to Kentucky’s NxG Leadership Series for Onboarding New Superintendents,” as part of her doctoral thesis. She has received various state and national awards and was selected for two Education Delegations to China (2009, 2017) and has studied the Finland (2012) and Ontario (2014) education systems.
