Edith Katz & Karen Gallagher

At Brooks Rehabilitation healthcare system in Jacksonville, Florida, Edith Katz manages programs related to employee development and Karen Gallagher is the vice president of human resources.  Together they have been facilitating an 11-week Leadership Challenge series which includes action learning assignments for each of the five practices.  

Edith and Karen are continuously ‘challenging the process’ and evolving how the series deepens leadership practice at Brooks.  The latest evolution is to involve operational leaders as co-facilitators for each of the 5 practices.  These leaders are earning the designation called ‘Leadership Challenge Practice Expert’.  They will be weaving in their leadership milestone moment stories to illustrate pivotal points that helped shaped their leadership practice.

Edith Katz has a Master’s in Family Studies/Social Work from Michigan State University and Karen Gallagher has a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Villanova University.
